Willow is all natural, peat moss free, synthetic fertilizer free, and consciously sourced from renewable resources. We've made these choices not only because they're better for your plants, but because they're also better for our planet.

Instead of using the unnatural, high-emitting ingredients that much of the potting soil industry uses, we've opted for natural, carbon negative ingredients. This means that every product sold is Earth Positive, removing more CO2 from the air than it emits. You can read more about our mission here.

Our products are made using a carbon-negative process. This means that our products remove more CO2 from the atmosphere than they put into it. When organic materials are sent to a landfill to decompose, they release methane and CO2 which are two potent greenhouse gases. By redirecting organic material from landfills and stabilizing its carbon, we prevent those greenhouse gases from being released. Our soils are blended to suit the needs of Tropicals, Philodendron, Pothos and Trailing plants, Succulents, Cacti, and Ferns.

While peat moss is an awesome growth medium for indoor plants, it's not-so-awesome for our planet. In fact, the peat moss industry accounts for 5% of total global CO2 emissions. (More than twice the airline industry!) So, we've opted for planet-friendly ingredients like biochar and compost to stand in for peat in our mixes.
